Governors

School governors have a wide range of responsibilities. They help to raise the standards of pupil achievement and plan the school’s future direction. Governors are also accountable for the performance of the school to parents and the wider community. “Teachernet”

Mrs C Wain Head Teacher
   
Mr R Brown Chair of Governors and member of Finance & Resources Committee. Spent more than 40 years in the Steel Industry and is a Community Governor at Pallister Park .
   
Mrs G Purvis Local Authority appointee and involved in numerous community organisations and activities within East Middlesbrough. Member of the Full Governing Body and Finance & Resources Committee. Additional  responsibility as Access Champion Disability Discrimination Act. Mrs Purvis is also a Governor at Thorntree Primary School
   
Mr C Snowball Has extensive experience within local government with particular emphasis on the provision of financial support for schools within Stockton on Tees. A Community Governor and member of Finance & Resources Committee and Full Governing Body.
   
Cllr B Coppinger Local Authority appointee and member of Pallister Park’s Full Governing Body. Executive Member for Social Care, Middlesbrough Council.
   
Mrs R Cockerill Parent Governor who’s children have achieved well at Pallister Park. Member of Raising Achievement Committee and Full Governing Body. Mrs Cockerill takes a particular interest in Science at Pallister Park.
   
 Miss S Ferguson Appointed member of the Full Governing Body in December 2011 and also sits on Raising Achievement Committee. Civil Servant currently working for HMRC. Has over 20 years experience working with children & young people in the voluntary sector, including those with special needs.
   
Mr A Gaw Extensive experience of Education from Primary to Higher. Chair of Finance & Resources Committee and Deputy Chair of Full Governing Body. Takes special interest in ICT at Pallister Park. Local Authority appointee.

Mrs L Bell A member of the Raising Achievement Committee and Full Governing Body. Takes special interest in Special Needs & Looked after Children. Is a Parent Governor and has three children at Pallister Park.
   
Miss L McCallay Takes special interest in Numeracy at Pallister Park. Parent Governor and self employed supporting vulnerable people in the community.
   
Mrs H Adams Staff Governor. Member of Finance & Resources Committee and Full Governing Body. Member of staff since 2000. Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator.
   
Mrs T Carling Staff Governor. Member of staff since 1986, provides support as Higher Grade Teaching Assistant. Sits on Raising Achievement Committee and Full Governing Body.
